Three 2-day physical entrepreneurship trainings will be held in three location in Ghana to increase the participants' confidence and skills in becoming successful agribusiness entrepreneurs.

In each training 15 female entrepreneurs will be invited. One of the outcomes of this training is a first draft of your improved business model and an action plan that serves to start testing and implementation. During the training, female business champions will be present to provide advice and share experiences.

Training content

You will be trained in our own business model canvas tools, specially targeting women in agribusiness. Among other topics, you will be trained in:

  • Value Proposition
  • Marketing
  • Distribution
  • Gender inclusion tool

But that's not all. The entrepreneurs whose business model shows the most potential will be selected after the training to continue to the 'Get coached' phase. In this phase you will receive one-on-one coaching from aya to lift your business model to the next level. 

Trainee requirements

To be considered for the trainings you have to:

1)    Be a registered female agribusiness entrepreneur
2)    Have an existing business (running for at least 1 year),
3)    Produce consumer food products for the local/national or West-African market.
4)    Be willing to make your business more inclusive by working with more inclusive by working with more smallholder farmers, more low-income workers or developing more products for low income markets.

All other applicants will not be considered eligible for this training.. 

Practical issues

There is room for 45 applicants in total. Applicant selection for the training will be based on your motivation and the potential of your business model in the food-agri sector.

The training is free of costs and daily lunch and snacks are included. Travel, accommodation, breakfast, dinner and other daily expenses are to be paid by applicants themselves.
